Thoughts...

Howdy all!

Sorry for the long silence here...have been a mite busy with all this hooah army stuff.

I am working on a couple of mini-essays that should make (hopefully) interesting reading...

One will look at the make-up of my unit here, and the other will examine the thoughts of a soldier heading off to war...

Also....for those of you that are not Texas Aggies...today, 21 Apr marks the annual Muster. Muster is a time to remember those Aggies that have died this past year, regardless of when or for how long they were at A&M. Today I will answer the roll for a dear friend of mine, a retired Air Force officer that was murdered along with his family last fall.

Ed, I will answer the roll for you. Though you are no longer present with us here, you will never be absent from our memories.

Training

We are in training mode here...lots of weapons ranges and other training. Night fires are lots of fun, but it gets pretty durn cold here at night...but the best thing about night fires is that you get to sleep in a bit the next morning!

We're doing well... lots of yummy Army chow....mmmmmm heh

We have a lot of really great guys in this unit...and we all get along pretty well...

I miss everybody at home....I really miss teaching and will be glad to get back in '06...

Y'all take care....
