The Word

Sitting in the compter lab after school so students can finish some projects and I get a message, call SGT S. at the armory.

SGT S. tells me that I am on the short list for deployment and to anticipate official orders in the next couple of days...joy.

The question now is...do I tell my wife now, or wait until after our trip to San Antone this weekend...

Tasteless UNICEF ad

Heard this ad on the radio today:

TSUNAMI RELIEF

The tsunami disaster has taken countless thousands of lives, nearly half of them children. Working together with UNICEF, we can help the surviving children by creating our own tsunami: a tsunami of compassion, a tsunami of aid, a tsunami of hope, and we can begin today. Call 1-800-4UNICEF or donate at unicefusa.org

"Tsunami of compassion"....the phrase just makes me shudder...but what can you expect from the Useless Nitwits.

Scott Ott of Scrappleface http://www.scrappleface.com has much better uses for your charitable donations.
