Some of our most entertaining missions are going out with out Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team to get rid of old munitions, such as rockets and artillery rounds. Most of these were stockpiled during the Soviet occupation. As such, they are very old, and unstable, too dangerous to use. The typical EOD mission starts with us loading up the munitions from some cache, usually at some Afghan Government facility. Then we take them out into the country-side, and lay them out. |

Actually, it is much fun to be out there, but we take all kinds of precautions before blowing the munitions.
We are really proud of our EOD guys, they have blown more munitions than several of the other PRTs combined.
Eeek, sorry for the lack of posting over the summer, school has started and its taken its toll. I have really enjoyed keeping up with whats going on and what your doing currently. I loved the pictures as well, you broke your tables a little :D but hey, Atleast your having fun and taking care while fighting for us. I can't wait to see you when you get back.
